About Centre for Design Excellence
The Vivekanand Global University's (VGU) Centre for Design Excellence, (CODE) Jaipur was formed in 2012. CODE Jaipur is accredited with a NAAC A+ grade. It is approved and accredited by UGC, COA, AICTE, ITPI and AIU. This private university has a long history of top rankings in India and Asia. Over 11 undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs are currently available at the university.
Centre for Design Excellence has a massive 2.25 lakh sq. ft. state-of-the-art campus with cutting-edge technology. It also features 40+ Hi-Tech labs and 30+ tiered lecture theatres, allowing youthful brains to flourish. It has four libraries, with over 12,500 books and unlimited access to online journals. Centre for Design Excellence Jaipur Eligibility Criteria for 2024
Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Architecture:
Candidates must have a valid NATA score (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) from the Council of Architecture (COA) / JEE (Main) Paper-II and a 10+2 scheme of examination with 50 per cent marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as 50 per cent marks in the 10+2 level examination in aggregate OR a 10+3 Diploma.
Note: A 50 per cent weighted average of each NATA/JEE (Paper-II) score and marks in the qualifying examination will be used to compile the merit list.
Eligibility Criteria 2024 for B. Des:
Certificate of Completion of 10th Class (Completion of 10 years of Formal Schooling)
Certificate of Completion of 12th Class (Completion of 12 years of Formal Schooling)
A minimum of 45 per cent in any HSCE subject.
Need to qualify exam De-CODE.
Eligibility Criteria 2024 for M. Des:
If you have a degree in B. Arch/ B. DES/ B. Tech from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent, you can apply for enrolment in M. Des at the Centre for Design Excellence, Vivekanand Global University VGU.
GATE-qualified applicants would be given more weight.

The institute offers a 30.2-acre campus with everything a student needs to succeed. CODE has an 8 L sq ft buildup area a residential campus with all convenience facilities. The 2.25 lakh sq. ft. facility, divided into four stories, accommodates 40+ labs and 30+ tiered lecture theatres for normal academic activities.

- The department has well-ventilated lecture halls, which provide the ideal studying environment. These classrooms' distinctive architecture allows for spaces where students can engage in interactive learning.
- With a small class size of 20 students in Design and 40 students in Architecture, each student has an area where they can work on academic and professional project assignments independently or in groups.
- The Exhibition Hall has plenty of space to display student work, and students have the opportunity to showcase their best products/work and explain it to visitors/industry professionals each semester.
- The computer lab/visual studio is well-equipped with all the necessary professional software for 2D and 3D design work. The lab is equipped with a variety of metalworking and woodworking machines.

Events & Clubs at the Centre for Design Excellence
The Centre for Design Excellence supports its students in every aspect of their lives. All the campuses in India are known for their holistic development. The four clubs were established to assist students in pursuing their hobbies and interests while also bringing people together.
- Design Adda is a student-run open forum for the exchange of ideas where students meet professionals to learn about their stories, concepts, thought processes, and overall project path.
- CODE-consultant VGU's cell, C Cube, works on design and research projects in the public and commercial sectors. Architectural design and development, interior design, environmental science, landscape design, and industrial design are among the projects that the cell works on.
- Through various educational training, research, and development programs, VBSC seeks to set new standards of research and development in the field of Building Services and Building Energy.
- In the evenings, our students and faculty members at Swaruchi Kendra teach and mentor poor children. For the complete development of the children, CODE focus not just on their academics but also on public speaking, yoga, dancing, sports, and theatre.

- STAMBH: "The Tower Of Artistic Expression" is an interactive platform enabling up-and-coming designers and architects to showcase their work and gain experience.
- ENCODE: CODE-VGU hosts an annual Design Cipher Encode to provide a venue for young aspiring designers to interact with professionals in the field.
- DEBW: Participants were able to display and discuss their work in the form of research papers, posters, and exhibits under the specified sub-subjects thanks to the one-day conference and conclave structure.
- AARAMBH: Starting with the University's orientation, the 15-day Freshman Orientation Week was held from July 15th to August 3rd, 2019.

Centre for Design Excellence Scholarships
The scholarship programs for UG and PG students provide financial aid and recognize academic achievement. CODE offers a Merit-Based Scholarship. The following scholarships are available:
- Students with a minimum 65% - 75% aggregate in class 12th of CBSE/ISC/State Boards are eligible for a 10 percent exemption.
- Students who have received above 75 percent aggregate in class 12th of CBSE/ISC/State Boards are eligible for a 25% exemption.
